At eckhoMedia, we are constantly evaluating the tools we use to ensure your website performs at its absolute best. Whether it’s a customer filling out a contact form or a crucial order confirmation landing in your inbox, reliable email delivery is non-negotiable.
That’s why we are excited to announce that we are upgrading our transactional email infrastructure from MailerSend to Postmark.
The Best Part: As part of our commitment to providing a premium hosting experience, this migration and the enhanced service are being provided completely free of charge to all clients hosted on our servers.
What are Transactional Emails (and why do they matter)?
Unlike marketing newsletters, “Transactional Emails” are triggered by a user’s action on your website. Examples include:
Contact form submissions
E-commerce order acknowledgements
Password resets
We use a dedicated SMTP service to handle these. By using a specialist provider like Postmark rather than a standard web server, we ensure your emails are sent securely, move lightning-fast, and—most importantly—avoid the “Spam” folder.
Why the Switch to Postmark?
For the last 3 months, we’ve been rigorously testing Postmark behind the scenes. Our verdict? It is a more robust, reliable, and developer-friendly service compared to MailerSend. This move allows us to manage your email deliverability more effectively and respond to updates with greater agility.
What You Need to Do
We have already begun the migration process for most clients. Depending on your setup, here is where you stand:
If we manage your Domain (DNS): You don’t need to lift a finger! We have already handled (or are currently handling) the technical updates for you.
If you manage your own Domain: Please check your inbox. We have sent out specific instructions regarding the DNS changes required to complete your migration.
The Deadline: We aim to have all clients transitioned by February 18th. If you have received an email from us regarding DNS updates, please action them or reply to us ASAP to ensure no interruption to your website’s email flow.
Not Sure if This Affects You?
If you aren’t sure whether your website utilises SMTP transactional emails, or if you simply want to learn more about how we protect your site’s deliverability, we are here to help.
