A question we often get asked as a web design agency is how much does a website cost? The answer unfortunately isn’t as simple as giving a price straight off the bat, well at least that’s not how we as a web design agency provide quotes or work costings.
We always encourage potential clients to complete our “Get a Free Quote” form on our website to capture some basic but very important information about the potential project, the current website, the clients location, contact details and requirements for the project so we can learn some basic information about the business and competitors through our own research.
Each of the websites we build are bespoke to that client, there isn’t a one size fits all solution and so costs for any website will always differ between website, that’s the main reason why we cannot provide prices straight away without knowing more details. Some agencies will use pre-made templates from sources on the internet, they are often bloated code, insecure and will make your website slow and heavyweight – we don’t work like this.
There are so many factors to take into account, for example:
- How many pages does the website need to have?
- What functionality does the website need to have?
- Does the website need to sell products or services?
- What integrations with third party software does the website need?
- What other services do you require other than web design?
What happens next?
Once we have received a quote request we begin by looking at the current website that has been specified, looking for things that work and things that don’t, elements that are missing and how we can improve and transform the website.
The next step would be an informal discussion preferably via Zoom, or in person, to learn more about the business, get to know the person or company that submitted the request and find out the actual requirements for the website, it is also a chance for you to meet with us and ask any questions you may have.
All of our quote requests and meetings are completely free and no obligation, no potential client is ever locked into a contract with us through an exploratory meeting and quote request. We also wont spam you with pushy sales people either, we are nice people who do a great job at websites.
Can I get a free quotation for my business?
